The Check-In Challenge

Walking into Hemingways Nairobi felt more like an episode of a scavenger hunt than a hotel check-in.

No one greeted us, so we had to enlist help from a restaurant staff member to locate an actual person to check us in.

The Dining Disappointment

We thought we were celebrating, but waiting 45 minutes for a raw dessert and abandoning cocktails felt more like a culinary tragedy.

Breakfast didn’t fare much better; burnt toast and undercooked eggs made it clear that they needed a kitchen revamp.

But There’s Hope

On the bright side, the location is beautiful, and some staff members are friendly.

If you enjoy a good mix of charm and challenge in a stay, give it a whirl—just keep those expectations in check!
